Hi everyone!
Here’s a little background about how PF Hendricks came to be. Long story short….
My mom and dad met at college in Alamosa, Colorado. They got a surprise, me, in 1965. Dad got a job in Kokomo, Indiana so that’s where I grew up. After pharmacy school at Purdue, I ran away to Chicago for a great job and a chance to get “street smart”. There, I earned my first Big Girl Panties.
After many years I did some soul searching and decided that I wanted to do something completely different. So after about 30 years, I quit my job and sold almost everything I owned and moved back home to Kokomo. More Big Girl Panties acquired.
So. My sister, Beth, and I came up with the idea for a little mom and pop outdoor retail store in downtown Kokomo. A very common scene in other parts of the country and non-existent in north central Indiana. Oh, The Light Bulb was shining brightly over our heads!!!
VOILA!
PF Hendricks, established 2015, offers a great shopping experience. AND, all of our brands have some kind of give back story and feature sustainable eco-friendly materials. Huge carbon footprints are not cool, literally. Almost all our brands are Fair Trade Certified – very important. That means that there are no sweat shops or child labor involved in the making of products that we sell.
Outdoor, Travel and Athleisure. Trail to Table. Broom to Zoom. Mountain to Meeting.

People often ask – Where did the name PF Hendricks come from? Patricia Faye Hendricks was my mom’s maiden name. She was loud, funny and loved being in the spotlight! Now, her name is on the marquee. HI MOM!
